FIND! VENTURES TO PUBLISH SPECIAL ONE-TIME STAND-ALONE ISSUE OF FIND!
Featuring Antiques Experts Leigh and Leslie Keno, This One-Time-Only Issue Hits Stands September 6

New York, August 24, 2004. When Leigh and Leslie Keno first set out to create a new television show, the antiques experts knew that viewers were ready to share their passion for collecting. That passion resulted in the creation of FIND!, the critically-acclaimed PBS series produced by the same Emmy-winning team behind This Old House. Now, after only one season on air, FIND! has found a place on newsstands in the form of a special print edition. Based on the series concept, FIND!, the special issue, will be available on stands beginning September 6 (and will remain on shelves for a total of eight weeks; $4.50 USD, $5.50 Canada). This one-time-only collector¡¦s edition will be a bible for those wanting to learn how to spot treasures and incorporate them into inspired design.

With insight from Leigh and Leslie, two industry experts, readers will experience the thrill of the hunt as the twin brothers canvass the country seeking out the best locations for the hottest antiques and collectibles. The special issue also explores the world of interior design with guidance from interior designer Alexa Hampton, whose tips on space planning and decor provide readers with the knowledge required to pull all the pieces together. From uncovering the most extraordinary object to how to integrate your treasure to reflect your personal style, anyone with a hunger for design, quality reproductions and collecting will find this special edition chock-full of resources previously known only to industry insiders.

Jill Connors, editor of the Find! special issue, adds: "This special issue is an extension of the TV show in that the expertise and enthusiasm of the Kenos comes across in the pages. Leigh and Leslie grew up collecting, and they have so much inside information to share. The articles bring collecting to life by focusing on the excitement of finding all sorts of objects, both new and old, and incorporating them into a home."

"It's never been hipper to be a collector," comments Leigh Keno. "There's no better way to make a statement about your personal style than to collect and display objects you are passionate about." Leslie Keno said: "Collecting is about making an emotional connection to things from the past and then bringing those objects into your home. We hope this special issue of Find! helps readers define their own personal style."

PUBLICATIONS Hidden Treasures: Searching for Masterpieces of American Furniture

Warner Books Hardcover, 320 pp. ISBN 0446526924

by Leigh Keno and Leslie Keno with Joan Barzilay Freund*

Do you have a valuable antique collecting dust in your attic? How much is that old table you picked up at a yard sale really worth? Ever wonder if your grandmother's roll-top desk is valuable? It's questions like these that have helped make the Antiques Roadshow the most popular program on public television. And part of that phenomenon are furniture experts Leigh and Leslie Keno, who share their stories of great discoveries in their book, Hidden Treasures: Searching for Masterpieces of American Furniture. Readers will not only learn how the brothers came to be two of the most respected figures in the antique world, but at the same time, will themselves become experts in the fascinating history and techniques of the antique world.

Who better than the "treasure twins" to give readers a behind the scenes look at the world of antiques. Beginning at the age of twelve with their very first sale and their heartfelt declaration in their diary that "we are antique dealers"- Leigh and Leslie were launched on their quest to find America's Hidden Treasures. Years of studying Americana combined with backbreaking labor made the Keno brothers the respected authorities they are today. Leigh and Leslie share their colorful accounts of adventures combing flea markets, estate sales, and even chicken coops, forever searching for some of the world's most beautiful American furniture, such as:

• A table purchased at a yard sale for $25.00 that later brought in over half a million dollars at auction.
• A rare suite of beautifully preserved Newport furniture hidden away in an East Hampton house.
• The record-setting $2.75 million Cadwalader easy chair that had been used in a country day school.

This book features fascinating stories of discovery and disappointment and its distinctive design and striking color photographs make Hidden Treasures a treasure unto itself.
